As a feminist and an advocate of trans rights, a man in a dress CAN’T be a joke. Wearing beautiful things and telling jokes are two ways I get to make the world closer to what I want it to be. To me, drag is the perfect vehicle for comedy not because “HA-HA MEN AREN’T WOMEN,” but because of the camp tradition.

…Once you’ve been head-over-heels in love with somebody, you don’t go back to being ‘friends’. It doesn’t work that way.
I didn’t just fall head over heels for you. I collapsed over the edge of a cliff and I spiraled under a riptide, head barely over water. I lost my breath and all sense of direction.
You just stumbled over a step. It didn’t even cross your mind twice.
amaranthine
(adjective) Defined as eternally beauty, permanent, perpetual, everlasting, amaranthine is also derivative from the reddish-purple flower called amaranth, which is perennial and long-lasting. The word is classified as stunning because its origins lie within a beautiful flower, which is symbolic for the beauty and strength found in nature. (via wordsnquotes)
ʻWe Need to Talk About Kevinʼ became a hit cult book for women without offspring who were finally able to admit they didn’t want to give birth. They felt complete, thank you very much, and lived in silent resentment for years at other womensʼ pious, unwanted sympathy toward them for not having babies. With even gay couples having children these days, aren’t happy heterosexual women who don’t want to have kids the most ostracised of all? To me they are beautiful feminists. If you’re not sure you could love your children, please don’t have them, because they might grow up and kill us.
